Performance Magazine Online

Between 1979-1992 Performance Magazine documented an extraordinary period in the development of art in the UK.

LADA is working with the original editor, Rob La Frenais, on a new online archive of the magazine, a film by Hugo Glendinning about its the history and legacy, and commissioned artist responses by Anne Bean, Hester Reeve and Nahum Mantra which will respond to and re-contextualise the magazine for the 21st century. During this event there will be an exclusive preview of the website before it's launch in London on 27 April.

ReROOTed Festival, Hull

ReROOTed is a live and media arts festival taking place as part of Hull 2017, City of Culture between 24 and 26 March. The festival will reflect on the legacy of the hugely influential former commissioning agency, Hull Time Based Arts (HTBA) and 10 years of the Running Out Of Time (ROOT) Festival.

The Performance Magazine Online event at ReROOTed will include a discussion about the magazine and its legacy with Rob La Frenais, Mike Stubbs (formerly of HTBA) and others (Friday 24th March at 12.30pm), the launch of the new website, a screening of Hugo Glendinning’s film and a commissioned performance by Anne Bean (Saturday 25th March at 2.30pm).

Look out for announcements of a seminar and workshop looking at Live Art, writing and digital publishing and please join the Performance Magazine Facebook Group for further updates. More Information
