Covid Protocol

[Last update: 26 January 2023]

We are continuing to implement measures in the space to ensure that our staff, visitors, and everyone who uses our building, remain safe during the ongoing pandemic and that we protect those who are disproportionately affected by it.

Please make sure that you read the following information fully before arriving at our building.

Using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Please have a mask with you when visiting The Garrett Centre. You will be required to keep it on whenever you are moving around the building, but you can take it off when seated. We have a limited supply of disposable masks available if you forget yours but only while stocks last.

Working in our space

There is currently no maximum number of visitors that can be in our space at any one time. However, there are designated workstations with significant distance between them and hand sanitiser is available on all of them.

Once you have finished with your selected Study Room items, you will be asked not to reshelve them, but to place them in a ‘quarantine box’. Staff will then reshelve items on a weekly basis.

If you are shielding, please let us know via email so we can make sure that there are no other Study Room visitors in the space on that day.

Events at LADA

We kindly ask you to keep your masks on during in person events that take place at LADA. We will be making sure to frequently open our fire exit door during events to refresh the air.

If you are ill or have had contact with someone who is ill

Please book a visit or attend an in person event only if you have no Covid symptoms, have not been in contact with anyone with Covid symptoms during the previous fortnight, and have not been asked to self-isolate.

Should you have any questions or concerns about your visit, please contact us
