From ritualistic horror and challenging meta-theatre, to discussions about dissection and death, this programme of events directs audiences towards moments of collision and discovery.

In the Name of Art gives a progressive meaning in terms of the existence and the argument of art in Taiwan. It approaches the early situation and looks at visual subjects initiated during the Japanese colonial period and the post-war era with a modern view. In addition to documenting, the series discusses the contemporary art scene since the 1980s under several milestone issues such as gender, ethnicity, and globalization.

This manual isn’t for theatre technicians and it doesn’t aim to make you into one. What it aims to do is give you a greater understanding of how to approach, plan and execute technical set ups in order to make your artistic visions a reality.

The Conversationalist was inspired by David Fosters Wallace’s cult novel Infinite Jest. Twelve artists were asked to contribute to a tour which took its audiences on a 24 hour journey through some of Berlin’s forgotten buildings and sights. One hour full length seven camera mix of one performance of The Conversationalist filmed at the Steffi Graf Tennis Stadium, Berlin, June 2012.
