Cross-Cultural Live Art Project 2014
The Proud Archivist
London, N1 5SH
A screening of performances and works to camera that explore rites, rituals and everyday actions from a feminist perspective.
Curated by LADA for Something Human's Cross-Cultural Live Art Project 2014 (CCLAP), this programme draws on resources housed in LADA’s Study Room and materials acquired for it’s current Restock Rethink Reflect research project on Live Art and Feminism. Featured artists will include Áine Phillips, Monica Ross, Anne Bean, Kira O’Reilly, Noëmi Lakmaier and La Ribot.
CCLAP brings together Southeast Asian and UK/European artists for a 2-day symposium, showcasing performances, talks and a screening programme exploring gendered/feminist notions of “rites”.
It will take place on Friday 31st October and Saturday 1st November from 11am-9.45pm at the Proud Archivist in London.
