Arstadmin Sweatshops are informal sessions for artists focusing on a key area of artistic or professional development.
In March, they are running a new Sweatshop on Documentation in collaboration with LADA, looking at a range of approaches to documenting performative and participatory work.
Led by Artsadmin and LADA, we will share tips, past experiences and case studies, opening up discussion around the various paybacks and pitfalls of documentation, from representing your work in applications and promotional material to the choice to refuse documentation altogether.
As with all Sweatshops, this will be a discursive, free session for up to twelve artists. To book, email advisoryservice@artsadmin.co.uk with a short introduction to your practice and why you’d like to attend.
Please make sure you are able to attend before reserving a place.
Artsadmin makes art happen. Their vision is to be an arts lab for the 21st Century for the creation of performance, site-specific and interdisciplinary work, where the innovative, experimental and unusual are nurtured.
