Bank Holiday Special repeat broadcast of Remote Performances
- Date
- Friday 22 Aug 2014
Remote Performances was a collaboration between artists London Fieldworks, Resonance104.4fm, (the world’s first art radio station), and LADA.
From the 4 to 9 August 2014, 20 specially commissioned artist performances and programmes created with local residents were broadcast live from Outlandia, a unique artists' field-station in Glen Nevis, Lochaber, Scotland. With Resonance’s mobile studio ‘in residence’, Outlandia became a portal between Lochaber and the rest of the world, a context in which participants could transmit experiences of place to diverse audiences through art, music and performance. Remote Performances were broadcast daily from 12-4pm through Resonance, with a listening post set-up at LADA's Study Room in Hackney Wick, East London.
There will be a Bank Holiday Special repeat broadcast of Remote Performances comprising all of the recent radio programmes made at Outlandia, Glen Nevis. The 24 hour repeat broadcast will commence at 9:00am, Monday 25 August.
From Tuesday 26 August, all the Remote Performances broadcasts will be available as a playlist and a series of blogposts written by Tracey Warr responding to Remote Perfomances are now available to read on LADA's blog.
