15th Anniversary print: Hugo Glendinning & Manuel Vason, Double Exposures, London, 2013
- Date
- Tuesday 28 Jan 2014
LADA marks its 15th anniversary in 2014, which we are celebrating with a series of initiatives across the year. Our anniversary activities will provide an opportunity to reflect on the seismic shifts in Live Art practices and discourses that have taken place since 1999 through the lens of the Agency and its work.
Look out for special events, online activities, and publications with some of your favourite artists — starting with a new limited edition print, a collaboration between Manuel Vason and Hugo Glendinning. This image has been created as part of Vason’s project Double Exposures and will feature as the front cover of the homonymous forthcoming book (summer 2014; co-published by LADA and Intellect). The book will present an extensive body of new collaborations between Vason and some of the most visually arresting artists working in performance across the UK.
Manuel Vason and Hugo Glendinning are two of the world's leading photographers of Live Art and related performance practices. Manuel Vason's Double Exposures sets out new ways of bridging performance and photography, with Manuel's own body incorporated within many of the images. The limited edition Double Exposures print depicts Manuel Vason and Hugo Glendinning in front and behind the camera at the same time.
