Study Room Guide: On Falling
- Date
- Wednesday 20 Nov 2013
The On Falling Study Room Guide is a compilation of material from the Study Room Gathering Live Art and Falling hosted by Amy Sharrocks in November 2012.
At the event Amy gave a presentation which was followed by an extensive group discussion. This Guide is in note form, for ease of reading, and in the hope that people can read between the lines, and see the rhythm and shape of the wide-ranging and non-stop discussion.
Study Room Guides aim to help navigate users through the Live Art Development Agency’s Study Room, a free, open access research facility used by artists, students, curators, academics and other arts professionals.
The idea is to enable Study Room users to experience the materials in a new way and highlight materials that they may not have otherwise come across.
The On Falling Study Room Guide can be downloaded as a pdf or viewed in the Study Room.
Amy Sharrocks' article Anatomy of Falling, recently published in Performance Research, Issue 18, On Falling, edited by Emilyn Claid and Professor Ric Allsopp, is now available to view in the Study Room or online at the Performance Research website.
Amy will be giving a talk about her practice at Crossing Borders on Tuesday 10 December 2013 at the Siobhan Davies Dance Studios in London.
